Hanging Out in Hungary

Episode 6 was suppose to end like any other leg of the race. Three teams were supposed to be placed at the top of the pack and one team would come in last with the possibility of being eliminated. As I was watching the race, I noticed that there was not much time for the teams to cross the finish line. The producers kept showing scenes of the racers standing outside the internet cafe waiting for the thing to finally open (and at all times of the day, 10pm) and scenes of the wrestlers trying to catch up. I thought that the finish line scene would have to be very quick and brief. Then, the internet cafe opens (with Jonathan unfairly going in first), and we find out that the wrestlers are stuck until the morning. All of us watching know that there is no chance for Lori & Bolo to get back to Budapest in enough time; we know that they are gone from the race unless this is a non-elimination leg. All of sudden, Phil then cuts in and tells us "to be continued..." What in the world? I couldn't believe what I heard! Myself, I'm a little disappointed in the decision to cut this leg into half and into two different episodes. I want to know now what is going to happen! Will Gus & Hera lose their lead in this leg? Will Jonathan & Victoria catch up and slide into first? Will those poor wrestlers get eliminated? If they do get knocked off, I will be highly disappointed in making us wait to know for sure; there is just no need for it. I am so interested now what next week's episode is going to be like. There is rumor that next week will just be a mish mash of clips from the previous legs. What will this do to the rest of the season, though? On the official Amazing Race website, it says that there will be 12 episodes of TAR6. Will the producers make one less non-elimination leg? Who knows. All we can do is wait and see how this "to be continued" episode affects the rest of the race.
